i honestly think that the free ending was a bit anti-climatic, even disappointing. it didn’t properly answer questions & seemed as if everything was rushed. i mean i understand that iwatobi is the main star of the anime, and the protag is haruka but they didn’t seem to give samezuka that well enough of an ending? especially once you consider the importance of rin in the anime, sure he was mentioned by the fantastic four, about how much he contributed but i personally think it wasn’t that very fulfilling.

not to mention sousuke. i don’t understand why anyone would add a new character in an anime and not give that much information out even when the ending is near. all we knows is that he lied about being scouted, cares for rin enough to fuck his shoulder but then what? where is he going? what’s his current goal in order to swim with rin again if that was to ever happen? do people even know that his whole antagonism against haruka traces back to the fact that he just wants rin to go to places he knows he prolly won’t be able to go to?

all we see is him all alone by the sunset, a quick melodramatic scene that shows he’s still somewhat distant to the others. this doesn’t really mean i hate the ending? i like the fact that haru found his dream and is now pursuing it but it’s like they forgot the importance of other character endings? i just, idk…
